Making knowledge work for people and forests

Making knowledge work for people and forests

the Netherlands - 08 November, 2013

After 25 years of making knowledge work for people and forests, TBI can conclude that the work developed and its impact is relevant at local, national and international level. This was the conclusion at the seminar celebrating 25 years of TBI that took place on 5th November 2013.

Among the participants in the event were former staff members, researchers and alumni of TBI, partner organisations, institutions and business and last but not least representatives of the Dutch ministries from which TBI receives part of its funding.

During the event the book “Making knowledge work for people and forests. Twenty-five years of Tropenbos International” was launched. This publication presents articles about TBI’s activities, both in our partner countries and in the Netherlands. They illustrate how TBI and its staff in the field have responded to the ever-changing national and international policy environments, and what the tangible impact of its work are.
