Inclusive governance

Balancing different objectives in a climate-smart landscape requires inclusive governance. We focus on these three dimensions of inclusive governance:

  • Inclusive decision-making in landscapes, value chains, and national and international policy arenas for and with smallholders, indigenous people, local communities and CSOs, and women.
  • Coordination across sectors and administrative levels.
  • Collaboration between stakeholders on the basis of certain concerns and interests.

TBI aims to contribute to more inclusive governance by implementing activities that support multi-stakeholder networks and platforms, implementing participatory planning tools, and by empowering local stakeholders to engage.
